Photographs and Sculptures
In this exhibition, the French photographer Marie-Caroline Senlis presents photographs that are not « pictures of India », but that matches with the Spirit of India. « Nature and Soul » expresses in a poetic way a strong relation between human Soul and Nature.
It presents black and white photographs, silver prints made by the artist from installations settled in special natural sites in India, Bouthan and France.
Through a set of prisms, she fixes on film presences that are imperceptible to human eye, presences that are deeply related to places that speak to the Soul, pine forests in the mist, hazy light on the sea, mountains hidden in the clouds. Nature and Human Soul interact to finally become one.
After being graduated in Literature, Linguistics Studies and Chinese Language, Marie-Caroline Senlis deepened her knowledge in photography in Fine Arts Institute in France. She also studied sculpture and calligraphy in China where she spent 10 years. She has been living in Delhi for the last two years.
