About the artist
Daljit Kaur is a self taught artist ,who has studied fine arts at school level, eight levels of Royal Drawing Society of London. She has treaded this arduous and frustrating journey by learning from books, observing and experimenting. Her hobby would have remained a hobby had it not been for the onslaught of Covid, where in she took it seriously by putting in significant x to eight hours of work daily. She was persuaded to display her work in group shows and solo show in Govt Museum and art gallery in Chandigarh. The senior artist and art teachers conveyed the message that her work should be seen by upcoming student, hence she has put up this show again, hoping more people to visit.
What are her source of inspiration ?
Photos from her own collection, and photos given freely on the internet to Artists to turn them into paintings. She followed the prompts given on the group. She had joined ,turning each theme into a landscape. For example words “treat”,”doorway” etc. She moved away from water colours to oil paints and from the use of brush to palette knife. She expresses her thank for giving your valuable time.
