A harmonious blend of melody, poetry, and therapy, Mehfil-e-Sukhan is a unique gathering that celebrates the power of music and words to heal and uplift.

Conceived by city theatre and film director Nisha Luthra, founder of House of Happiness, this initiative brings together a diverse group of artists to create a soul-stirring experience.
Nisha’s work focuses on the impact of performing arts on mental and holistic health, and she believes that music is a carrier of peace, love, and tranquility.

In collaboration with renowned tabla maestro Avirbhav Verma, Bhuvan Sharma, Swaranjot, Gurdeep, Paraj, Gagneet, Anuraag, Amarpreet, Shabnam, Daniel, a curated selection of poetry and melody has been composed, exploring themes of love and hope in times of turmoil.

The event will feature 10 artists playing musical instruments, and singing including the santoor, rabab, guitar, harmonium, and tabla, accompanied by three singers from different genres.

the evening will be woven together with poetic narratives and a french recitation, creating a riche environment of sound and emotion. The grand finale will feature 24 tablas, played by 3 tabla players, playing in harmony.

Founder and Director of The Narrators Performing Arts Society, Nisha Luthra is a dynamic artist, theatre and film director, poet, and mental health practitioner. Her artistry fuses sound, music, movement, and theatre into powerful tools for self-discovery and healing.

About Avirbhav Verma

Avirbhav Verma is an Indian tabla player and percussionist who performs Hindustani classical music. He is the disciple and son of Pawan Kumar Verma, and grandson of Pandit Lachman Singh Seen of Punjab Gharana.
