Examination rules and regulations

Candidates must reach the Alliance Française de Chandigarh on time with a photo ID  (valid passport / valid driver’s licence / Adhaar card…) in original.

During the exam, the candidates must leave their ID proof visibly on the table for the entire test so that identity checks can be performed anytime.

During the entire multiple choice questions part of the test (Oral and written comprehension – approximately 1 hour 40 minutes) no exits will be permitted.

During the entire written expression examination (1 hour), no exits will be permitted, unless in case of emergency or health issue previously informed by the candidate and justified with a medical certificate.

During the  test communication among candidates will not be permitted.

Candidates arriving late will not be allowed in the examination room once the examination has started. 

In the event of fraud or misconduct by a candidate (disturbing the examination procedure, communication or attempt to communicate with other candidates or the outside…), the candidate will be asked to leave the examination room immediately and may face a ban from taking the test for a period of time that will be determined by Le Français des Affaires

With effect from 29 February 2016, there is no negative marking for TEF.

 For  immigration to QUEBEC, two modules are compulsory: Compréhension orale and Expression orale. 

For immigration to Federal Canada , four modules are compulsory: listening, speaking, reading, writing.

IMP: For results and attestations it takes 4 – 6 weeks.
